I am having trouble setting PDF-XChange Viewer (free) in Windows Vista as my default pdf viewer.
Though various places in Windows Vista where I have tried to make it my default viewer it does not even show up on the list of programs to choose from. From what I understand, this means the program has not entered in the Windows registry. But I am unclear how to fix this problem.
I have also tried to make this my default viewer within PDF-XChange Viewer by going under “preferences” followed by “file associations”, however this has not worked as well.
I looked through the forums and could not really find anything too helpful.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you work under Administrator user?
If not, please run the viewer under Administrator user (you can use Run As... command from context menu of viewer's shortcut) and than set it as default PDF viewer using Preferences dialog.
