Bookmarks global on/off

Bookmarks global on/off

What setting would I have to toggle to make the bookmarks panel more "global"

As of now I have to turn it on and off (side panel mode) in each tab. It would have been nice to have it stay on/off to the side in all tabs.

because the properties panel for example stays on/off in all tabs when I enable/disable it:

Hello,

PHK is correct here, bookmarks are "document pane" which can be controlled by the documents specifically, opposed to an "application pane" which are opened and closed globally at all times. If you wish to sync these settings across all files, the option above is the only method.
