Windows Desktop Search -- PDF-XCHANGE VIEWER doesn't work!

I use three XP SP2 computers and it doesn't work with version WDS 3.01 or 4.0. I had to install Adobe Reader 8.1.2 to get the Ifilter.

Here's the problem: WDS searches and finds PDF-XCHANGE VIEWER files BUT...when highlighted the program (PDF-XCHANGE) automatically opens the file rather than simply providing a preview. This renders WDS -- which I really like -- useless.

Since WDS 4.0 is such an improvement and is built into Vista, Tracker needs to do something about this or people like me will have to go back to Adobe Reader "bloatware." Yuck.
