signature funktion is locked

signature funktion is locked
I can´t use the signature funktion. there is a lock on the button. why? thanks

Hello PDFthom,
There are a number of reasons why you wouldn't be able to use the Signature tool in your document. For example - the document might be locked with a security policy, it may contain XFA forms or contain a digital signature that locks further editing.
If you provide the document, we may be able to say more about why you cannot sign it.
If the document contains confidential information, please do not post it to this public forum. Instead provide it via e-mail at support@pdf-xchange.com
