There is currently no way to save a stamp image other than using a screenshot. Or by choosing the option "Export selection to Microsoft Word Document..." / "Export selection to Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation..." and unpacking the resulting files as a zip archive. Add, please this opportunity.

It seems that you are right about that.
I made a Feature Request ticket in our internal ticket system:
#6394: FR: Adding the ability to save stamps as images
As always we can not make promises as to whether this would be approved or when it could be implemented, as this is up to our devs.
