Hi
Is there a way to use an external text editor to do Javascript programming? We create a lot of dynamic forms and have thousands of lines of code that we create and maintain. The small text editor provided by default in PDF-XChange is very rudimentary. Could we choose an external text editor like Notepad++ to replace it, for example in the Preferences? There is a feature like that in Acrobat Pro.
Thanks

Re: Using external text editor
Hello, Bruneux
I am afraid that it is not possible to directly edit with an external editor using our software, but you can most certainly use Copy/paste to bring your JS into and out of another editor like Notepad++ (this is actually what I personally do while troubleshooting).
Kind regards,

Re: Using external text editor
Hello Daniel
Thanks for the quick answer.
But you must admit that the direct use of a more powerful text editor, while avoiding manipulations that may cause errors, would be advantageous.
Consider this post as a suggestion for additional functionality.
Have a nice day

Yes, of course, this is what you do, because you have no other choice...this is actually what I personally do while troubleshooting

Hello Bruneux,
Thank you for your suggestion.
I think something similar was planned by our developers for version 10 but I will ask them to confirm that.
I will let you know when I have an answer.
Regards.
