Highlight text in a PDF

Can I highlight text in a PDF? I can't figure out how to do it. I'm trying to highlight an area where someone needs to sign.

The highlighter tool requires text content to be applied to. If there is no text content present you will need to use a freehand method as detailed in this article to "highlight" specific areas instead: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... tly-images

Thank you! I like using the Pencil Tool technique at the end of the article you linked.
