Extract Pages by Bookmark
Hey All:
I've been given a number of files with ~100 bookmarks, roughly 175 pages each. I'd like to extract all of the pages from the start of a given bookmark to the start of the next into individual files (so, Bookmark 1 is at p. 1, bookmark 2 is at p. 4, bookmark 3 is at p. 5; I want pp 1-3 extracted, p. 4 extracted, etc.).
Is there an automatic way to do this?

Hi Databoy2k
thanks for the post. Maybe take a look at PDF-Tools. https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/pdf-tools It has a Split function that can use the top level bookmarks as the delimiter. I am not sure it will give you exactly what you want however if you have nested bookmarks.
You can trial it for free, please do make copies of your documents first as the trial will water mark them.
I am keen to hear if that works for you.

Hi Paul:
That does seem to work, thanks. Shame it's a separate piece of software, though.

Hi Databoy2k,
well I just learned that is is in the Editor too! Not only that, but it can handle nested bookmarks.
It is on the "Organize" tab:
enjoy!

And then there is the option to extract selected pages as in the Bookmarks Options drop-down menu as below although I am not sure if that is exactly what OP wants.

Now you are really showing me up!
I do see the irony in having users who use our software more than I do. I use the software, I assume you work with it!

I, for one, am grateful that you acknowledge that. But the truly great thing about Tracker Software is that you back up the verbiage with an absolute commitment to listening to your users, taking on what we are saying, and actually taking steps to improve the product.Paul - Tracker Supp wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 6:31 pm ...

Thanks for the kind words Phil,
we do try, it is core to the company founder's beliefs that support and listening to our clients is fundamental. It's not an option not to listen! At times we may not act on what we hear, but we try to treat everyone the same. and do our best to listen.
I appreciate that you appreciate this.
Warm Fuzzies all around. Do you remember those? Or am I really showing my age?

I hope you don't mind if I decline to go that far off-topic.Paul - Tracker Supp wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 11:26 pm ...Warm Fuzzies all around. Do you remember those? Or am I really showing my age?
