Hallo,
it is possible, to highlight a text and to underline a part of this text, if you start underlining before or after the highlighted part like this:
1.) Highlight (= Bold)
2.) Underline
This is my text, which I want to highlight and underline.
But it's not possible to underline some part of the already highlighted text like this:
This is my text, which I want to highlight and underline.
This could be done only, in underlining first and highlighting afterwards.
Could you please change this behavior? You might take a look at Foxit Reader, which handles this feature request quite good.
BTW, it would also be nice to have the thickness of the "underline" adjustable.

Foxit Reader doesn't handle this all that well.
1. You have to select the underline tool to delete underline markup, in PDF-XChange you can delete any markup with any tool. I guess the result of this is that you cannot also underline highlighted text.
2. There is no underline weight option in Foxit Reader either. Try using opacity or a lighter colour.

In this case, I'd prefer the behaviour of Foxit Reader. I often want to stress some already highlighted text as the most important of the important text.Bhikkhu Pesala wrote:Foxit Reader doesn't handle this all that well.

It would be nice to have the highlighting tool on one mouse button and the underlining tool on the other mouse button.
You're right. But the underline-line is much thicker (and more eye-catching) than in PDF-XChange...2. There is no underline weight option in Foxit Reader either. Try using opacity or a lighter colour.

Hi,
1. Build 37 (coming soon) it will be possible using the Shift key.
2. the Thickness of underline (and strikeout) is based on the selected text and cannot be changed. This behaviour is identical to Acrobat 8.
Hope that helps to clarify
