Change default image editor

I scan a lot of magazine to PDF format so basically, full page image scans.
I use Affinity Photo to edit image but it's awkward having to select the application every time.
How do I change the default application for the 'Edit image' button from Paint?

Hello, markmills

The "use default app" function should simply pass the information on to Windows and open it in the default image editor for that file format. If you wish to avoid opening paint, simply ensure that all compatible image formats as set through windows to be opened by that application, instead of paint.
