Controlling the search capability via OLE Automation

Post by smcki60 »

I would like to invoke the search capability of PDF-XCHANGE VIEWER via OLE Automation, ie. find the next and previous occurrence. Also can I toggle the full search pane and launch searches accross files via OLE Automation ?

If not, can I accomplish the same goals using your SDK ?

Yes, you can do this using the Developers SDK - Viewer ActiveX.
PDF-XChange Co Ltd. (Project Director)

When attaching files to any message - please ensure they are archived and posted as a .ZIP, .RAR or .7z format - or they will not be posted - thanks.

I would like to pass a string to the 'Find' command

I tried the following with no success

object vDataIn = "mysearchstring", vDataOut = "";
axCoPDFXCview1.DoVerb(null, "Find", vDataIn, out vDataOut, 0);

What is the proper way to do this ?

Thanks

This is not possible in the current release - but will be available in Build 2.037 due very soon.
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

When are you expecting to release this build ? (within a week/month ?) I am currently evaluating your SDK and it will greatly help if I know when I can expect this new 2.037 build.

Thanks
