The issue reported below has been resolved in Ver 10.0.1 build 371.
I appreciate all the hard work and efforts of the support and development team.
==============================================================================
Hello all,
I have found that once text is read aloud, it is read aloud again when the Speech option dialog is opened and closed from the Settings menu or the Speech Settings icon on the View tab. I do not know if this is the intended behavior by the developer. However, when this behavior occurs, the underlined highlight that normally appears during reading does not disappear and remains after the reading is finished. Of course, it is very possible that the volume, reading speed, etc. set in the dialog is actually being read aloud to demonstrate the settings to the user, but even in that case, it seems unusual for the highlight to remain.
- [00:04] Open and close the Speech option dialog from the preferences menu. Of course, no reading aloud is performed.
[00:13] Press the Start Reading icon in the View tab to start reading aloud. Wait until the reading aloud is finished and the highlight disappears.
[00:20] So far everything is normal.
[00:22] Again, open and close the Speech option dialog from the Preferences menu. As soon as you press the OK button to close the dialog, the text that was read aloud immediately before will be automatically read aloud again. Notice that the underlined highlight at the end of the text remains after the reading aloud is finished.
[00:34] The same is true if you open and close the speech option dialog from the Speech Settings icon on View tab.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Best regards,
rakunavi
