Hi,
helpfully would be profiles for the Office Add-In Toolbar. In version 3.6 there were such profiles, in version 4 there are no.
I also would like to predefine those profiles and then silently install them on different workstations.
In version 4 now all settings of the Office Add-Inn tollbar are lost when Office is restarted.
Best regards
Martin

The office Addin never allowed use of the Profiles as such - though there were some settings that were common - but by no means all.
I will ask our dev team to look into your V4 request.

Re: profiles
Hi,
I used silent installation to install PDF XChange 3.6 130 and PDF XChange 4.0 148. Version 3.6 allows to predefine settings of the printer driver and the Office Addin. So I can define that all fonts should be included when I create a PDF using the printer and also using the office AddIn. In version 4.0 only the settings of the printer driver are saved in the profile.
I installed version 4 and created a PDF. If I use the printer driver all fonts are included. If I use the office Addin the setting Include all fonts is not activated. Is it possible to define settings of the Office AddIn version 4 during installation?
best regards
Martin

Hi,
Thanks for the message - we are looking into this to see if there is anything that can be done to re-introduce this functuionality now that the method of setting and preserving this data has been seperated to 2 different registry entries.
Will advise as soon as we have a resolution - thnaks for your patience

Re: profiles
Hi,
can you tell me where I can finde the registry entries to change the Office Addin settings. I think it would be easier to install the keys than to change the settings on every workstation.
best regards
Martin

Re: profiles
We will add the ability to specify a default profile for the Office addin into the next build.
The Addin's settings for the printer are stored in the registry under:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange 4.0\Office Addin\Printer
To set always embed all fonts, you need to set DWORD value EmbeddAll into 1. This value is located by path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange 4.0\Office Addin\Printer\Fonts
