Bug with High Contrast
The option in preferences to override a document's colors has a problem in that backgrounds aren't always interpreted as such. It appears that some of the background is misinterpreted as "line art." I'm attaching a PDF that shows this problem. I encourage you to check it out using the Accessibility presets (white text on black, etc.) in XChange Viewer. I have noticed this in Powerpoint presentations that were converted to PDF using Acrobat.

I see the difference between Adobe Reader and PDF-XChange. I'm not sure that the background is misinterpreted though. If I open the file in PagePlus there is a white rectangle on each page behind the text, so my guess is that PDF-XChange is interpreting the file literally.

Yes, there is white rectangle on each page. Acrobat treats such rectangles as a background if overlap area of such rectangles is more than 50% of page's area. We will not realize such logic at all -- in such simple case this logic works, but into many cases it will produce a wrong result.

Well. We can try to add similar logic as Adobe in this case, but it will be optional.

Oh good. Out of curiosity, are text boxes from Microsoft Powerpoint true rectangle line art or are they otherwise distinct? I wonder if Tracker may be able to come up with something more clever than Adobe's "simple logic."
