Hi
I have been a long time user of PDF XChange Viewer. I started of with Acrobat Reader, then went on to Foxit and finally settled with XChange Viewer. In my opinion it is one of the best pdf viewers available. I upgraded to the PRO version as soon as it became available.
I have to use the commenting tools frequently during the course of my work. Occassionally some of my friends reported that the comments (which were annotated using pdf xchange viewer) are not visible when the pdf files were opened in Acrobat Reader 7.0. I tried to overcome this problem by printing the files using PDFCreator. But the resulting pdf files are bloated in size and the quality deteriorates as well.
Acrobat Reader has a flattenPage javascript available which writes all the comments on to the page. The comments could not be edited any further. They become a integral part of the document.
Is it possible for us to implement a similar functionality in PDF XChange Viewer. I would love to have a button which does this function in the next version.
Thanks
Flatten Page Option

Re: Flatten Page Option
Hi,
A 'flatten' option is going to be added as soon as possible - though I cannot promise it will be in the Build 38 - but it will be soon.
many thanks for your patience.

Re: Flatten Page Option
There were some problems with displaying annotations added using PDF-XChange Viewer builds prior to 2.037 in Adobe Acrobat/Reader versions 6.x and 7.x.
The Latest build should create more "toleratant" annotations, which should be displayed correctly.
Also, if you have "problem" file - you may edit each of the added annotations (move or add-delete space will be enough) and resave document.
