I hope this is the right place for my question. I have not been able to find this topic discussed anywhere on the fourms.
I am using PDF-XChange Viewer version 2.0 build 0037. When I open the viewer I get a screen with the toolbars spread out over four lines at the top of the screen. I makes no difference where or if I move any toolbars in location or eliminate any. Each time it is possible to move the toolbars to better positions so that they only consume one or two lines. But they are not saved to these positions and the next time the viewer is opened the bars are spread out again over four lines.
Is there any way to make the tools align and use less screen space?
Thanks for any help.
Ray

No problem here. Are you using the portable version?

Re: Can't save tool bar locations
Thanks for the reply. No, it's not the portable version. However, I note that there is now a version 2.0037.2 (16 May) while the version 2.0037 I am using was dated 7 May.
I'll give the later version a chance and see if it is any different. As it is now, the viewer wastes too much screen space and is quite slow to run.
Any suggestions?

Re: Can't save tool bar locations
Well, I downloaded the newer version (as mentioned previously) and it does work as advertised in that the tool bars stay where I put them. It also works on the newer version of the portable viewer.
So thanks to Tracker for putting out a great PDF viewer

I just re-downloaded and re-installed but I'm still having this very problem. Even document views (bookmark bar, etc.) don't stick. The restore last view option in Preferences is selected. Any suggestions?

Never mind. Apparently, I needed to set the working directory to the directory of the pdf I was opening (I was using a launcher [AutoHotkey]). It works fine now.
