[PRO] Creating Bookmarks

Post by lbdyck »

The ability to create bookmarks is terrific.

One request please - can you enable bookmark levels as today all bookmarks are a single level and thus you can not create bookmarks under an existing one with the ability to collapse them (e.g. section headings under a chapter).

Thanks

Try dragging the bookmarks. You can change the order and hierarchy.

I've been trying that and it is difficult to get them in the correct order. I've got a bookmark for page 7 before one for page 3 and getting them reversed is not easy (haven't found how to do that).

Would a bookmark level or and indent/outdent option be possible both when creating and when editing bookmarks please?

Thanks

just drag the bookmark for page 7 after bookmark for page 3. If the mouse pointer is in the left shaded bar, it will be added on the top level, see how the orange line is changing. In general, the level will depend on the horizontal position of the mouse pointer.

That worked - not easy (fat hands).

I found that if I hold down the left control key when creating a bookmark that it will indent.

I haven't found a key to cause an outdent ?

Would also like to be able to change the indent/outdent via edit (please).

Thanks

Drag and drop is by far the easiest way to move bookmarks. Just drag the bookmark from page 3 and drop it before the one for page 7. We don't need another cumbersome method to do this simple task.

Bookmark One
----------------- << Drag and Drop Bookmark Three Here
Bookmark Seven
--------------- << Drag and Drop Bookmark Seven Subheading here
Bookmark Three
Bookmark Eight
     Bookmark Seven Subheading

Dragging works but it isn't the easiest - or perhaps my use of the mouse if not normal.

I do like the Control key for indent - would love to have an outdent key. That way when creating the bookmarks I can select the indent/outdent as I need and won't have to go back to drag/drop.

Thx

Here is an example of creating bookmarks where the new bookmark is not created where it should be

See the zip for the jpg images

before is how things are when I start
middle is after clicking new
after is after the new bookmark is created
moved is where it should be (after being dragged)

To lbdyck: please try to use keys Shift, Ctrl, Shift+Ctrl during new bookmark creation. I think you will be happy.

I tried and as you can see from the attached zip (see the bookmark.jpg within) it was not always what would be expected.
