The issue reported below has been resolved in Ver 10.3.1 build 387.
I appreciate all the hard work and efforts of the support and development team.
==============================================================================
Hello all,
PDF-XChange Editor supports the following four page layout.
- Single Page
- Continuous
- Two Pages
- Two Pages Continuous
The change to "Two Pages Continuous" can occur either by user intervention (Scenario #1) or by following a document property setting (Scenario #2), each of which is explained in the following verification videos.
Scenario #1
The first sample file (sample1.pdf) is a blank file of 100 pages total, with page numbers set using the header feature. The following verification is done after initializing the settings as usual.
- Open the sample file (sample1.pdf).
- Change the Zoom Level to "Fit Page" to make the verification easier to understand.
- Change the Page layout to "Single Page".
- Change the current page number to page 77. In the video, the current page number is entered directly with the keyboard in the number box on the Page Navigation Toolbar, but you can use scroll bars, shortcut keys, or anything else.
- Change the page layout to "Two Pages Continuous". The user expects page 77 and page 78 to be displayed side by side, but for some reason page 49 and page 50 are displayed side by side. The sample file has 100 pages in total, so it appears that pages 49 and 50, the middle pages of the file, are being displayed.
- Change the current page number to page 77 with the page layout set to "Two Pages Continuous". Page 77 and page 78 are displayed side by side as intended by the user.
- Change the page layout to "Single Page" and then back to "Two Pages Continuous" again. As before, page 49 and page 50 are displayed side by side for some reason.
The second sample (sample2.pdf) file is based on the first sample file with "Two Pages Continuous" set as the default page layout in the Document Properties.
- In the Page Display category of the Preferences dialog, enable "Respect document's settings" option.
- Open the sample file (sample2.pdf).
- Change the Zoom Level to "Fit Page" to make the verification easier to understand.
- Change the page layout to "Single Page".
- Change the current page number to page 77.
- Close the sample file and reopen it. The user expects page 77 and page 78 to be displayed side by side, but for some reason page 49 and page 50 are displayed side by side.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Best regards,
rakunavi
