Can users of retail packages sold by resellers also receive a discounted plan on the Tracker customer page? SOLVED

If you purchase a license directly on the Tracker website, you can log in to the customer page and purchase plans at discounted prices, such as upgrades or extended maintenance periods, depending on the status of your license at the time. I am well aware of this because I purchased my license directly from the Tracker website. This pricing strategy is one of the attractions of the PDF-XChange Editor.

On the other hand, users can also purchase retail packages, which are sold by authorized distributors (e.g., Jungle) in the Japanese market. If one purchases this package, will he/she be offered the same pricing plan as if he/she had purchased the license on the Tracker customer page?

Incidentally, according to Jungle, one of the authorized resellers in Japan, "the single-license BOX/DL version is granted a one-year update service period after the activation key is activated, but this period cannot be extended." They also explain that "if you want to use the latest version after the expiration date, you must purchase a new single license."

Thanks for the enquiry!
Certainly - you can purchase a license form Jungle and then if you later decide you want to upgrade that license - you would be able to create an account in our system (we would ask you for the license key or the initial activation code you would have received from Jungle) and using that you would then create an account in our system, and from that point on you would see all the upgrades and discounts we can offer as anyone who has purchased directly on our website.

I presume that due to Jungle's licensing model and the fact that they offer our products boxed (which I believe is still a popular trend in Japan) - getting that license renewed or extended from their side will be a hassle that they do not want to get into, and that's why they are offering you to purchase a new license.
