Suddenly cannot edit content/text

I'm sure it's something I've done in the properties/settings, but I cannot edit my text in the pdf's any longer. I can select it, I can even move the cursor within the line of text, but I cannot type/change any of the text.
I think it may have to do with "layers", but whatever it is, I need to fix it. This is an integral part of my job.

It seems that you wrote to us by email earlier today as well, Below is a copy of my email reply to that message.

The "select text" tool is intended only for that purpose, it can be used to copy the text content, or apply annotations to the selection, but is not an editing tool. To edit the text, you will need to switch to the "Edit text" tool, located on the Home tab.

Note that in the sample file you included, only a small amount of the text is real text content, the rest appears to be image or shape based content instead. If you need to edit those portions, you will first need to use our "OCR Pages" tool, with the "enhanced OCR" engine, to generate editable text. This tool is included in your PRO license, and is accessible via the Convert tab.
