PDF-XChange or another brand PDF editor?

Hi,

I am new here, so I hope I am posting this in the right place.

I am looking for a general-purpose PDF editor. I have done some online research, and two products stand out for me: PDF-XChange Editor & another brand PDF Editor. I came here to see if I could get some insight into the strengths and features that would help me decide.

Here are some of my “requirements”:
• Delete, reorder, & add pages
• Split into separate PDFs
• Merge separate PDFs
• Redact or remove sections containing personal information
• Does not add watermarks

Here are some other features that would be great, but not necessary:
• OCR for converting scanned documents to text
• Convert to/from various formats (.docx, .html, .txt, ???)
• Annotate & comment

I would appreciate any comments, suggestions, links to reviews, or comparisons with another product.

I am not looking for a free editor.

Welcome to our Forums, I had hoped another user would jump in with their own input before I could, but it seems this has sat a little too long on its own.

Since you mention you are not looking for a free software, The "PDF-XChange Editor Plus" would be the product of ours that offers everything you mention in your lists. I cannot offer a clear comparison to other products (as I mostly use our own, but you can find our product comparison chart here, which should include similar categories to many of our competition, if you are looking to check the capabilities against one another.

Beyond this, I should mention that, for the purpose of evaluation, all features of our software are available for free without time limit (Except the Enhanced OCR plugin, which has a ~2 week timer). Using premium features in evaluation mode will place demo stamps, so do any testing with a duplicate of important files, but this should allow you to try it out and get a feel for if it suits your needs, before committing to a purchase.
