Feature Req: "Readlist"

Post by jhreg »

Currently i am reading a lot of papers with pdf xchange viewer pro,
which is just great.

There is one feature im looking for:
I would like to save a "readlist". With "readlist" i mean something similiar
to a playlist: for example, when i work with 15 papers - and need to
continue my work the other day - i would like to mark all or (e.g. in the thumbnails
view) lets say seven of them and save this "readlist". Next time i start
up x-change viewer it would be perfect and easily to reopen/load this saved
session! So far you always have to open up all the pdfs youve been working with manually.
A readlist/session would be really helpful.

Best regards,
Johannes

There are two ways to work around this.

1. Save your readlist in a temporary Explorer folder and drag and drop them into XChange Viewer
2. Save your readlist as an Opera session and use the browser plugin. Launch the Opera sessions to reopen each file in your readlist in an Opera tab.

You can also pin favourite documents to the Recent files list, and unpin them when they have been read.

Thanks for your hints! Like you said they are ways to get around this.

But still it is not that convenient working.
My colleagues at work and i regularly have to prepare lectures or write articles to spezific topics and we need to do citation. So i found myself reading papers forth and back and over again. Some are very specific, some are useful in general. Especially when you give a lecture to the same topic one year later again, published articles regarding that topic got more and knowledge expansed. To open up your previously articles and compare them with the new stuff would really ease work!
Maybe this explains a bit better why i would prefer saving a session, "readlist" or project.

Please think about that kind of featuer!
Thank you very much for your consideration!
