Hello everyone,
Here's a minor request: consider adding an option to not show the " - PDF-XChange Editor" part next to the document title/filename in the Title Bar.
Instead of:
This is a Valid Example of a Not So Unusually Long Document Name - PDF-XChange Editor
it becomes:
This is a Valid Example of a Not So Unusually Long Document Name
Two reasons for this:
1) Long titles/filenames can become problematic to show
2) More focus on the title - visual and intellectual. Yes, this sounds exaggerated but still. Sometimes, it's good to focus on the content alone.
Thank you

Re: Title Bar: Don't append "PDF-XChange Editor"?
Hello, TheDecathlon
If a documents name is too long to be shown, the ending, in this case, our "PDF-XChange Editor" section, will be hidden first. As such this feature essentially already exists. I am unsure if any more than this will be considered.
Out of curiosity, have you ever seen other applications that offer an option to manually control this before?
Kind regards,

Re: Title Bar: Don't append "PDF-XChange Editor"?
Thank you for the prompt reply.
As mentioned, this is a minor request and I will survive if you don't change anything. I also understand that you'd prefer your product/company name to be always on display. However:
1) This setting can be buried deep in the options, where no one will bother touching it if not needed.
2) Most home users, I assume use PDF-XChange Editor in environments where product promotion doesn't really take place this way (i.e. people passing by and noticing " - PDF-XChange Editor".
3) Offering an additional customisation option, actually makes the product stronger and even easier to recommend (and thus, promote).
While this behaviour is indeed welcome, I have to respectfully disagree that "the feature exists". Resizing each document window to achieve the desired result is not a solution.Daniel - PDF-XChange wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 10:30 pmIf a documents name is too long to be shown, the ending, in this case, our "PDF-XChange Editor" section, will be hidden first. Yes. This is most useful in web browsers, where you can remove e.g. the full URL and browser's name from the title bar, and only keep the current web page title.Daniel - PDF-XChange wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 10:30 pm...have you ever seen other applications that offer an option to manually control this before?
