PDF-X-Change Editor free: the option "Signature and initials" now is no more free.

Post by leonardo danza »

Until now I used "Signature and Initials" to add a graphic signature image to my pdf documents. Yesterday I tried but this option is no more available. Is there a free option to add to my document an digitalized image of my signature ?

Best Regards

Hello, leonardo danza

As far as I am aware, the "signatures and initials" function has never been free, as it is direct base content manipulation by way of flattening the placed comment.

You may be thinking of the "sign documents" tool, located on the Home tab, or the "place signature" button on the Protect tab.
Alternatively, a similar visual presentation to the "Signature and initials" function is the Stamps tool, which could be used in a similar capacity, without flattening the comment in question.

Kind regards,

Thank you.
I added the signature images to the Stamp tool with a new collection named "Signatures":
  • from the Home tab click the down arrow in the Stamp tool to open the Stamps list window
  • at the bottom of Stamps list click on Stamps Palette to open Stamps Palette window
  • In the Stamps palette window expand "Add new" list box and select "Add new Stamp from file"
click on the button "Browse..." near the filename placeholder and select your Signature Image file
  • Fill the "Stamp Title" field wirh Name and Surname of the person and the "Target Collection" field with tour preferred name, for example "Signatures". This field must be inserted for saving the new Stamp.
  • press on the "Ok" button for saving the new Signature Image. Now you can add your signature image in the document and move and resize the image as you like. Only after your first insertion you have to press the "Hand" button for exiting from the Stamps inserting mode.
