Horizontal Continuous Page View Instead of Vertical

Post by WD40 »

Is it possible to configure the viewer to display continuous page view as a side-scrolling series so the next page is on the right of the current page previous page is on the left, instead of next page is below previous page is above?

Some PDF versions of print publications include the cover as page 1, and that throws off every single two-page spread in the entire magazine. In the "two-up" view anything designed to be read across two pages in print is split diagonally in the PDF so that the first page of the spread is on the right side of a set of pages, the second half of the spread is on the left side of the set below. When you purchase archives of magazines the PDFs are locked so pages can't be shifted to fix this, and there's no way around the problem. Not that I know of..

If it's not possible, then I submit this as a feature request. Horizontal continuous page view.

No, its not currently possible. See this earlier thread for a discussion of this proposed feature. I hope that something like this can be implemented in due course.

A workaround meanwhile would be to insert a blank page or delete one that is of little interest to you. Just close the file without saving and no watermark will be added, even if you're using the free version.
