Hello all,
is it possible to add a button that deletes with one stroke all unfound files from the history list? The intent is to quickly remove the clutter for the list to make it easier for the user locate recently opened files. Many of them are just left over files temporarily made. I am talking about the yellow mark-ups in the following image.
Thank you.

Hello uft12,
Welcome to our forums.
There is such an option, however it is a few clicks into the menus, and not in the list itself.
Please navigate to the Preferences Window (Ctrl + K) -> Documents -> Manage History & Recents... -> Clear... and select the "All Broken" from the drop down menu: Kind regards,
Stefan

Thank you Stefan for Info. I didn’t know that, so it will definitely come in handy.
It would be much quicker if one button for "all broken" was somewhere near the history list though. Just a thought...

Hello uft12,
I will ask our devs if they can think of a way to add that operation in a more convenient place as well, but at this time I can't make any promises.
Kind regards,
Stefan

If you like, the "Clear..."-button is also in the Options-menu in the History-pane.
Unfortunately, there is no separate "Remove - All broken"-command at this time.
Kind regards.

Re: Easy removal of unfound files in history list?
Hello Willy Van Nuffel,
Thanks! The "Remove all broken" is indeed not available as it's own command, but at least the "Clear..." command can be added to the recent's list's bottom as well: So that will make it just one more click after that to remove all the broken links.
(Going though the default button already there - "History and Recents Options..." is one click more
)
Kind regards,
Stefan

Stefan, I believe your last comment is the best option. It 's exactly what I was looking for since the "broken" option is remembered in the pop-up window.
Guys, thank you for the support.

Re: Easy removal of unfound files in history list?
Hello, uft12
Following up on this, I have raised the topic with the Dev team, to ask if it would be possible to perhaps allow configuration of the "remove on exit" checbox, to offer an option to remove broken links when the app is closed. Though, I cannot promise it will be implemented, since it would carry the risk of, if your network connection is down, or you travel much, many files which otherwise should remain in place, could be removed because of a temporary difference in network access.
Kind regards,

Re: Easy removal of unfound files in history list?
Hi Daniel,
thank you very much. I understand what you re saying. However, I 'm pretty good covered by putting a shortcut to the command left of the history list as Stefan indicated above. The 'broken' as last selection is remembered in the follow up window so it's only two clicks. All good
Thanks

Re: Easy removal of unfound files in history list?
Hello uft12,
Glad to hear you are happy with the above suggestion!
We will consider this one resolved now as well.
(Our devs said that some of the "on close" options can not be implemented as they are too slow and if you e.g. try to restart windows, and the Editor tries to perform such an operation it can be abruptly terminated by the OS before it can finish it's tasks)
Kind regards,
Stefan
