keeping a tool selected when switching between pdfs

hi there. i was wondering if there was a way to keep a tool selected when switching between pdf's. for example i have 2 pdfs open side by side. one on left and the other one at the right. the way it behaves is each pdf keeps their own tools. if im using orange highlighter on the left one, i have to select orange highligter on the right one too to keep using it.

is there a way to just pick a tool and keep using it on both pdfs?

Unfortunately, there is no way to do this at this time. The tool selection is independent for each opened document. An official response has been made to the following post.
