To delete a surrogate-pair character in a text box, press Backspace twice. Pressing it once leaves a "�" placeholder.

Hello all,

There are text boxes in various places in the application, such as the Bookmarks pane and the Search pane. When typing a surrogate-pair character (*) here, I found that pressing Backspace once does not completely erase the character, but requires two presses.

• (*) Wikipedia UTF-16
  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTF-16

In the English version of Windows, pressing Backspace once should display "�" as shown below. Note that some Emojis and Kanji characters are represented by surrogate pairs.

Although not directly related to the issue reported at the beginning of this topic, I have noticed that when surrogate-pair characters are added as base content, searching for those characters does not return any results until the file is saved and reopened. See the video for verification.
