After upgrading to version 10.6.0 Build 396 of PDF-XChange Editor, I’ve encountered a new issue where unwanted spaces are automatically inserted within words when typing text in Callout comments. This behavior was not present in the previous version I was using (10.5.x), and it significantly affects the readability and usability of annotations.
Example:
Typing “Insert period” results in:
Inser t per iod
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any PDF file in PDF-XChange Editor v10.6.0 Build 396.
2. Select the Callout Tool from the Commenting toolbar.
3. Type a sentence such as “Insert period”.
4. Observe that spaces are inserted incorrectly within words.
Troubleshooting Attempts:
- Tried changing fonts and disabling rich text formatting.
- Issue persists across different documents and comment types.
- Reproduced on multiple files.
Please advise if there is a workaround or if a fix is planned for an upcoming release.
Thanks,
Durga

Hello, dmrbhuma
I cannot reproduce this, but I note how in your example, the spaces (or based on the size, perhaps they are "Tabs") both immediately follow the letter R. Do you perhaps have autohotkey or some other scripting tool running which may be intercepting that and adding extra characters as your type?
Kind regards,
