Your Tools are often well optimized for multi-core processors, and running multiple instances in parallel, at a minimum, does not result in overall acceleration, but may result in an increase in the overall time to complete all scheduled jobs, or result in low system responsiveness.
͏
I suggest considering adding checkboxes to the general settings of Tools that allow you to queue these tools when executing any task (or just this task). To avoid the following:
͏
͏
When the OS almost completely stops responding, and the user is forced not to continue adding tasks to the queue, but simply wait until the OS can again give him processor time, previously occupied by a dozen PDF-Tools tasks, each of which can completely load all the computer's processors.
͏
PS. Of course, this will only have an effect for Tools launched via the Shell Menu, since the main PDF-Tools window does not allow you to launch more than one Tool at a time.

Hello, Jensen Head
Thank you for the suggestion, I have passed this along to the Dev team for consideration.I expect this one will be accepted, if it is possible.
[Edit] Well, that was a quick wrongproving, we may reconsider later on, but this one has been rejected for the time being. In the future, do try to be more conscious of your system resources, and avoid starting more processes than the system can handle.
Kind regards,
