All selections in the pane will be cleared when switching to full-screen mode

Post by rakunavi »

Hello all,

In PDF-XChange Editor, if you switch to full-screen mode when any item is selected in a pane, all selections in each pane will be cleared when you exit full-screen mode. In contrast, Adobe Acrobat and Foxit PDF Editor maintain the selections in each pane when you do the same.

For me, full-screen mode is indispensable, so much so that I have requested simultaneous full-screen mode on multiple displays in the past in the following topic.

Switching to full-screen mode is as common as using Ctrl+Wheel to zoom the screen or switch between various display modes.
If in the future PDF-XChange Editor will maintain the selections in the pane, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Best regards,
rakunavi

Hello, rakunavi

I would love to say we will have this fixed soon, but I must admit that I am uncertain if this is a bug. Given that Fullscreen mode is intended only as a "presentation" mode, the removal of the selection may be intended to prevent visual artifacts and selection boxes from appearing while in said presentation mode.

I have reported this to the Dev team as a bug, but I cannot promise they will see it as such, or what the end result will be at this juncture.

Kind regards,

Hello Daniel, thank you for contacting developers.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule.

Personally, I submit this with the intention of it being more of a feature request than a bug report. Since PDF-XChange Editor often relies on the selection items in the pane for its operation in various situations, I believe that maintaining these items would increase the convenience of full-screen mode.

Please give my best regards to developers.

Best regards,
rakunavi
