The issue reported below has been resolved in Ver 10.7.0 build 398.
I appreciate all the hard work and efforts of the support and development team.
==============================================================================
Hello all,
I noticed that when you set a custom page range in the "Add Header and Footer" dialog and then specify the %[BatesValue] or %[Bookmark] macro, something odd behavior occurs. Please see the verification procedures for each in the details. The corresponding timecode in the video is also included. ([MM:SS] "MM" shows minutes, and "SS" shows seconds.)
%[BatesValue] macro in "Add Header and Footer" dialog
- [00:06] Create a new document. Any appropriate values will do, but in the video, I created a document with a width of 300 pt, a height of 100 pt, and 100 pages.
[00:24] Open "Add Bates Numbering" dialog. Add Bates numbers to all pages using the %[Bates] macro.
[00:33] Open "Add Watermark" dialog. Enter "10-" in the custom field for the page range, and use the %[BatesValue] macro to add a watermark to page 10 and beyond.
[00:47] Open "Add Header and Footer" dialog. Enter "10-" in the custom field for the page range, and use the %[BatesValue] macro to add a header to page 10 and beyond.
[01:02] Go to page 10 and confirm that the results differ between the watermark and the header, even though the same %[BatesValue] macro is used for the same custom page range "10-". The %[BatesValue] macro refers to the Bates number on the target page, so the watermark showing "010" is probably correct, and the header showing "001" is probably incorrect.
%[Bookmark] macro in "Add Header and Footer" dialog
- [00:05] Create a new document. Any appropriate values will do, but in the video, I created a document with a width of 300 pt, a height of 100 pt, and 100 pages.
[00:18] Use the "Bookmarks Every N-th Page" feature to set bookmarks on all pages.
[00:23] Open "Add Header and Footer" dialog. Enter "10-" in the page range custom field and add a header using the %[Bookmark] macro for page 10 and beyond.
[00:35] Confirm that the unintended "Page 1" header appears on page 10 of the preview in the dialog. The %[Bookmark] macro displays the bookmark title on the page corresponding to the destination page specified in the bookmark action. In this case, "Page 10" should be shown in the preview. Once you have confirmed this, press OK to add the header.
[00:49] Go to page 10 and confirm that "Page 10" has been added as the header as intended. It seems strange that the value "Page 1" shown in the preview does not match the value "Page 10" that is actually added.
Hoping that the above information will be of some help to you.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Best regards,
rakunavi
