In general I am using the XChange editor to modify existing PDF files.
Now I scanned some pages from a form and created a new pdf file. So all content are just images.
I want to add now some text into a new text box and put it (with transparent background around the text letters)
on top of the existing stuff.
How can I achieve this?
I found no menu "Add textbox"
I am not using the ribbon but the classic toolbar.
So if possible tell me the necessary menus rather than toolbar symbols.
How to add a new text box on top of image?

Hello mattad,
By default, the annotations are placed on top of the base content, so you may place your text on top of the image, using any of the annotation tools.
Regards.
