automatic bookmarks

Hi there,

I using template PDF files to organise exhibits. In fact I created a Word document with 40 pages, Each page has an automatically generated sequential number as text, format is "00", so it's 01, 02,...10, 11 etc.

How can add a Bookmark for every single page using this format ? I had a workaround on an older version of the Word document where the numbers were 1, 2 , .... so no leading zero. I used the extract pages function and extracted the whole document in single documents naming them as Anlage_K_%[Page], and the added the new pages together, and tada I had boomarks for every single page....

Trouble now is how do I get the leading zero in the name of the extracted documents... or is there an easier way?

fiddled around a bit and then used Word feature to add text level in Word and then saved as pdf from Word, and now I have the bookmarks as I wanted them

Hello,

In PDF-XChange Editor, the syntax for two digits is [Page:2], for three digits it is [Page:3], ...

You can use the Organize-ribbon > Split > Split document for having one document for every x page
You can use the Bookmarks-ribbon > Bookmark every Nth page to create bookmarks for the several pages
