1) I am using the PDF-XChange Viewer to produce XPS files through printing to the 'Microsoft XPS Document Writer'.
The size of XPS files produced is very huge - the Microsoft XPS Viewer take time to load it and then the text is no more selectable (I suppose that the Microsoft XPS Document Writer had generated a big image for each page).
I tryed to print the same file with Acrobad 6 Standard and the XPS file generated is a fraction of the other and the text is selectable. I include the pdf file use for test.
My pc have XP SP3 with .Net 3.5 installed, PDF-XChange Viewer v. 39.2 .
2) Do You plan to develop in a near future a SDK for creating - converting XPS files?
Tanks.

Re: Big XPS file size
PDF-XChange Viewer send text to printer as set of curves, not as characters, so result is not searchable for text.

Re: Big XPS file size
This will be resolved/possible in Build 2.040 when text is printed as text - rather than curves, consequently file sizes will also be smaller.
