modify document info

Dear all.

I use PDF-XChange Viewer Proffesional since half a year.
The most missing feature for me is "modify document info".
I can do that with the pdf-tools but it is much more work.

When will this feature be released?

According to the Feature Schedule it was due to be included in build 039, but has not yet been realised.

Features coming during the Spring of 2008 include

Modify Document Info (Author/Subject/Title etc)
(Scheduled - Build 2.039)

I don't know if anyone noticed, but Spring has gone and Summer is fast becoming Autumn.

I guess that the price increase should be moved back a bit beyond the end of September too, since the Pro version is not yet feature complete.

The Price of the PDF-XChange Viewer PRO will increase at the end of March and again at the end of September 2008 to the full price of $39.50 or E27.50

Its in Build 2.040 - which is approx 2 weeks away.

As the price increase has not yet occured - why bring that up ?

Further more - whilst not all scheduled features have been included as yet - plenty of unscheduled features (both in the FREE and PRO versions) have been included that were deemed important and feasible earlier - so there are both plus's and minus's !

If you are that concerned about a price increase - then buy now - you will get the feature as soon as its ready and all future upgrades until Version 3 (at least) or for one year minimum - whichever is the longer - as with all our products.

Further more Bhikku - as you were given a free license for your help with support work - this should not be an issue for you anyway - so why bring it up ?

I have not, as far as I know, received any free license from you. I am still using the free unregistered version, which is adequate for my needs. If you sent any email to my registered email address in the last six months or so it would have been blocked. Your email address is not on my white list, and I upgraded my spam filters to strict some months ago.

I brought up the inaccuracies on your website because I thought it might be relevant for others when purchasing a license. I do understand that schedules nearly always get delayed rather than moved forward, and keeping a large website up-to-date is a chore, but it would be helpful to update it. If I hadn't said anything, would you have noticed?

Hi Bhikkhu,

I personally sent you a free license to PDF-XChange PRO (not just the Viewer) a year or more ago.

As we are not actually at the end of September - the info regarding pricing is not as yet out of date and therefore there was no need to amend as yet - though we ahve now changed as requested.

With regards the dates/versions for functionality being added - again as we are releasing an update with the bulk of the V2.0039 features being present (and more) very soon there has been no urgency to update the site - however again - we have updated the info.

The Price issue will be addressed on release of build 2.0040 for the PRO version.

Hope that is now clearer.
