How to save base content text objects as TXT file in the order they appear on the page, not in the order they were added

Post by rakunavi »

Hello all,

The sample file contains a total of nine base content texts arranged vertically. These were added in numerical order using the Add Text command from the Add menu on the Home tab in PDF-XChange Editor. In other words, each base content text was added from the bottom of the page upwards. No special operations were performed when creating the sample file.

  • sample.pdf
When saving this file as a text file in PDF-XChange Editor, the output appears in ascending numerical order as shown below. That is, the text objects are output in the order they were added.

Code: Select all

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
In contrast, common PDF applications like Adobe Acrobat or Foxit PDF Editor, as well as online services, output the text in the order it appears visually, meaning in descending numerical order, as shown below.

Code: Select all

9
8
7
6
5
4
3
2
1

Please tell me how to save base content text objects as text file in the same order as their visual appearance (in the sample file example, in descending numerical order), just like other common PDF applications.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Best regards,
rakunavi

Hello,

I will ask our developers to give me an update on these issues.

If they missed the original case, I will create a new ticket.
