I haven't noticed this before, as it seems all documents except ones you have not saved get closed when you turn your PC back on from hibernation mode and reopen PDF-XCE (which is still running)
It seems to be that this was not the case in previous versions
I'm on the currently on version 10.7.3.401

Hello MedBooster,
May I ask you to check that with the latest one?
I'm asking you to do this as I have never heard of anyone having the same problem, so perhaps is some kind of bug in that particular version!
Do you mena Build 10.5.1.394?I'm on the currently on version 51

Re: all saved documents get closed automatically new bug?
I corrected the version number last checked with.
The issue seems to be occurring together with the last saved session also disappearing after turning the PC "on" from hibernation mode.

Re: all saved documents get closed automatically new bug?
Hello, MedBooster
If the issue occurs in relation to hibernation mode or long periods of system inactivity, and any of the files are located on a remote service, such as onedrive, this is very likely a known issue caused by the respective application being interrupted by Windows "efficiency mode" which is often enabled for apps in conjunction with hibernation, or long periods of system inactivity.
You can try to prevent Windows from causing this by changing your system "Power and sleep settings" to "high performance" mode. Beyond that, so far as we can tell the issue is originating from Onedrive and similar apps cutting the connection in a different way from usual.
We do have a specific warning message that is supposed to appear in these cases, informing you that file is no longer available, but something about the way it is being "dropped" prevents us from presenting that error currently.
We are investigating the issue where the error message wont appear to inform you what is happening at the moment. If the "lack of warning message issue is reproducible on your end, please email Support@PDF-Xchange.com with "ATTN: Dan&Vasyl" in the subject line, a description of the issue (with a note that it IS related to cloud services), and a link to this post.
Similarly, If you can reproduce the unexpected closing issue on any local files (no connection to cloud services like onedrive/sharepoint/etc, or synced folders using them), please email Support@PDF-XChange.com, with "ATTN: Dan&Vasyl" in the subject line, a description of the issue with a note that it IS NOT related to cloud services, and a link to this post.
Kind regards,

Re: all saved documents get closed automatically new bug?
Yes you might be right, it is probably caused by a combination of Google Drive failing and the Windows 11 energy saving mode.
Thank you for explaining

Re: all saved documents get closed automatically new bug?
Hello,
Quick update for everyone experiencing this issue. Thanks to some the reports we have seen so far, from a few helpful users, we located the issue, and are working on a permanent solution.
At the root, the only issue on our end is the lack of warning when a connection is dropped (it happens not only with onedrive, but also some types of local network shares, and other cloud services).
To ensure expectations are correct, The "fix" we can offer, will only ensure that when this happens, the Editor properly informs you that the document is inaccessible. It will then ask if you would like to

- Try and re-open it. You will lose changes if you had any unsaved changes in place when you do so, it is not possible to retain previous changes when we do this due to the volatile nature of the storage location.
OR~ - Cancel and close the file immediately.
