shift+pgup/pgdown to choose text does not move to the next page

I understand that it goes to the bottom or top of the page the first time, but the 2nd 3rd etc. time it still stays on the given page, you then have to press shift+arrow to move to the next page and continue with shift+pagedown ,

and the same issue occurs on the next pages you select while holding shift

Thank you for the report. I cannot seem to reproduce the issue on this end, testing with a few versions. I presume you are on build 403 at the moment?

Could I ask for a copy of the document you have this issue with, and a short video or Gif of the issue in action, so we can make sure we are testing in the correct area?

MedBooster's post might be expressed like the following video.

The sample file is a very ordinary one: it duplicates the PDF-XChange license file across multiple pages and adds the page number as a raster image.

In the video, PDF-XChange Editor is used in the first half, and Adobe Acrobat Reader in the second half. I split the windows for each application and zoomed out the right window to make the selected text area visually clearer. In other words, splitting the windows was purely for presentation purposes and is unrelated to the verification itself.

In PDF-XChange Editor, simply pressing <Shift+PageDown> does not extend the text selection to the next page. You must alternate between pressing <Shift+PageDown> and <Shift+Right> for the selection to expand to the next page. In contrast, in Acrobat, simply pressing <Shift+PageDown> extends the selection to the next page.

Note that unlike PDF-XChange Editor, Acrobat does not update the text selection display in the right window while the Shift key is held down. The text selection is only reflected in the screen when the Shift key is finally released.

Please note that I am only interested in understanding the intent of the opening post; I have no particular intention of claiming it's a bug or making any requests.

Ahh, that is what I was missing, using select text, and having an active selection in place is a necessity to see the problem.

@medbooster, in the future, please do make clear note of any specific tools and steps required to reproduce an issue.

For now, I will be passing this along to the Dev team for review.
