Campus License Key Works on Old PC but Shows as Expired on New PC

Hello, I’m having an issue with my PDF-XChange Editor academic campus license.
I previously installed PDF-XChange Editor on my old PC and activated it using the academic campus license key provided by my university. The maintenance on the key is expired, but the key itself still works and the PRO features are unlocked.
I recently bought a new PC, installed the latest version of PDF-XChange Editor, and entered the same license key. However, on the new PC the software reports that the key is expired.
I contacted my university, but they weren’t able to help since this is a very specific issue.
Is there any way to make the key work on the new PC?

Hi Obi-1,

The problem that you're having is that the maintenance has expired for the key. It can still be used in the older versions of the software that it covered, but not the current version. The license owner will need to renew the maintenance and issue you with an updated key if you want to use the current version.

Is there a way for me to download an older version —the one that my expired maintenance still covers? I’d like to install the compatible version on my new PC so I can continue using the academic license key.

I'm afraid that's not possible unless you're the license key manager.
