I need to check architects' plans. This involves not only verifying dimensions but also adding scaled drawings.
A kind of mini-CAD program would be useful for drawing lines to scale and moving/copying them with a distance. It would also be helpful for connecting or drawing offsets lines.
Currently, I first draw with the distance tool. This is difficult if the walls aren't at right angles. Then I draw lines over them. Very cumbersome.
I believe that the Snapping options we offer would be helpful in this case:

These should allow you to draw measurements and snap them to existing page objects even when they are not perfectly aligned to the 15-degree snapping increment we use when you hold shift.
Beyond that, I should note that PDF files in general are not highly conductive to use as CAD (or "CAD-lite") solutions, on their own. "PDF" (Portable Document Format) was created with the intent to allow viewing of finalized copies of various file types, not an extensive editing suite, hence the "Portable" in the name.
The main idea was essentially to create a more size efficient, "high fidelity" version of files from specialized software, opposed to images that are either missing much detail or far too large for easy sharing.
It has evolved much since then, but a large number of the requirements of the Specification are unchanged, and that heavily restricts what PDF software can offer in a stable and reliably usable way. Bluebeam unfortunately is known to disregard the specification in a few ways, allowing them to offer features that we simply cannot - but at the cost of risking damage to your document when any PDF software other than Bluebeam ever tries to edit some of the content they created against the spec.
Kind regards,
