Text selection bug using typewriter

I've had this problem since 2.039 and verified that it still exists in 2.040. I'm pretty sure the bug was introduced in 2.039 as I had no problems before that version.

Basically, double-clicking on a typewriter comment will lock the selection mode so that after you single-click somewhere else in same box to change position, it will instead select the text between clicks (and lock up the keyboard as well, so pressing left/right has no effect on selection).

This has been very annoying because I use the typewriter tool a lot to take notes on PDF slides.

To re-create:

1. Create a comment text box with a typewriter tool and write a couple of sentences in it.
2. Click the Typewriter tool button again to exit the edit mode for the comment.
3. Double click on a word in the comment text box created in (1) - this will put the cursor inside the word that was double-clicked and enter edit mode.
4. Without exiting the editing mode for the text box, single-click on another word in that text box to change cursor position.
5. Doing this would select the text between the double-clicked position and the single-clicked position, which is not what was desired. The correct action would be to simply move the cursor without selecting the text.

Unable to reproduce the problem here. Neither with the Typewriter tool, nor the Text box tool.

I am using the latest Beta version, build 40.3

Any ideas on what may be causing this behavior? Maybe the devs can shed some light as to how the selection is implemented (and what changed in 2.039). I have not been getting any problems with other apps.
