Hello,
I need help with Portfolio for PDF Xchange Editor. Issues below are NOGO to use this SW for our outputs.
a) How to keep order of the documents in portfolio?
1st step - create = sorted (Prvni is first, Druhy is second)
2nd step - open = wrong order (Druhy is first, Prvni is second)
or how to change and save when porfolio is already created?
b) How do I hide the cover sheet?
I want same output and default view as from Adobe.
Portfolio created by PDF Xchange (does not show document, but ugly cover sheet and bad layout)
Portfolio created by Adobe (shows content of document and betted layout directly = much better for user. PS: coversheet is hidden by default)
When portfolio created by PDF Xchange is opened in Adobe:
We are unable to use PDF Xchange Portfolio to share with customers like this. If I create a portfolio in Adobe, there is no cover sheet, but in PDF Xchange there is a cover sheet with an advertisement. I really don't want our customers to think that we are employees of PDF Xchange or are paid by them. Trust in our organisation is important to us. How to delete cover sheet?
c) How to change layout of the portfolio (and save) to be the same as created by Adobe?
see picture above
I personally love PDF Xchange, and I made a big effort to convince management to buy it instead of Adobe.
Attached documents are potfolios: a) created in PDF-Xchange and b) created in Adobe.
I didn't find soulution in setting, or on forum.
I hope you can help me to find solution and to keep your software in our computers!

Re: Porfolio issues (order, cover and layout)
Hello, luda
Thank you for the post.
A) Portfolio files are sorted alphabetically at first, which you can see and change by clicking on the respective headers: You can change the default sorting method via the portfolio properties menu after creation of the portfolio: B) The Cover sheet is simply a normal PDF display page/sheet, you can customize it exactly as you would any other PDF file. Use the document editing tools to remove out cover sheet if you like, and add whatever elements you wish.
C) You can alter your own view of the portfolio from the portfolio tab, however there is not currently a way to save these values into the file itself for others: I will be raising this topic with the dev team to ask if we can offer these functions/customization options, both prior to and after portfolio creation, so we can hopefully achieve the desired handling in the future.
Kind regards,
Thank you for the post.

Re: Porfolio issues (order, cover and layout)
Thank you Daniel for your answer.
However, there is evidently some properties saved in the file, because created by Adobe are opened differently = better and easier to read/understand how it works when open portfolio for the customer
For our company it is really big toppic, because the e-sign documents...so very important to keep your perfect SW.
add 1) the difference is the Xchange does not include item "sort by order" => selected order during the creation is not saved (lost) but Adobe include it (selected order during creation is kept):
created by PDF-Xchange created by Adobe add 2) manually (after creation, which is not nice). Set "default documet" helps with not showing the cover
created by PDF-Xchange created by Adobe add 3) as well as layout must be in properties of the PDF, because there are differences when you open the document created by Adobe and Xchange
created by PDF-Xchange created by Adobe
Please discuss with your dev team, to be setted automatically add2) and add3) and if the field "odred" add1) can be included during creation (as in Adobe). I think details shared by me can help to understand them how to do it. Many thanks!

Re: Porfolio issues (order, cover and layout)
Hello, luda
Yes, that much was all understood. I was showing you what is available in our software currently today, and as I noted in my post, I have already escalated this to the dev team. Regarding files. This is a public forum, anyone, even other users can download files placed here. By uploading them in a public space you have already granted permission for them to be used by the dev team in any investigations we might need to perform.
If ever a file contains sensitive information that should not be shared with anyone unrelated to your or our company, please do write by email instead of posting those items on the forums.

Re: Porfolio issues (order, cover and layout)
Thank you again!
I understand the rules, and of course I agree to share the PDFs publicly. I have prepared these files for this purpose and have not included any sensitive data.
I have had very positive experiences with your software thanks to your excellent support. I have already seen some improvements based on my ticket. This "customer is important" approach is definitely special compared to monopolistic software, which totally ignores users' needs.
I look forward to further improvements.
