Do PDF-XChange PRO discounts recur yearly? Should I buy now or wait until I actually need it?

Post by gali »

I have discounts expiring on February 16th (see screenshots). I'm interested in PDF-XChange PRO for future batch OCR work, but I won't need it until next year. Should I purchase now or do these discounts recur annually? I'd prefer to wait if the same discount will be available again in 2027. Thank you.

Hello, gali

The renewal discount available to you is personalized based on the age of your license and how it has been since expiry. The discount "expiry" date simply indicates the next time that the discount percentage will decrease (meaning the renewal will cost you slightly more). This happens once every month following license expiry, so if you wait a year, yes a discount would still be available, but it will have gone through a minor increase in cost per month, so you will not see the same percentage discount you do today.

Moving past that, it is usually best to renew/upgrade within 30 days of your maintenance expiry - to get the largest discount available, on a 2 year renewal (which has a slight additional discount on the per-year maintenance costs compared to the 1 year option). The longer you wait, the more it will cost.

With all of this said, the forums are primarily intended for technical support questions, so if you do have sales/pricing relating inquiries in the future, please do direct them to Sales@PDF-XChange.com, as we cannot discuss personal account details on a public forum.
