Speed up comment loading and search

If I open a PDF with 67,000 comments, it takes 25 seconds to load them all.

If I use the search (magnifying glass) to find a comment (e.g., the word ‘4444’) among the 67,000 comments, the PDF takes another 25 seconds.



In this PDF, I know I will also reach 200,000–300,000 comments:
is it possible to speed up comment loading when opening the comments (i.e., when I open the PDF),
and during the magnifying-glass search phase as well?

I am sorry to say that this is entirely expected with the quantity of your comments here. Some competitor software took over 10 minutes to show only a fraction of the results, and frequently crashed before completing the search action..

We will of course try to optimize things as time goes on, but there will not be any distinct "push" to make improvements at the moment, as this is already considerably better than most alternatives.
