Turn Off Updater

PDF-XChange Updater Autostart is set to never yet it still runs and notifies users all the time that they have an update.

My problem is that these updates seem fairly frequent and users are not local admins. 65 user license means I get a ton of requests to go to the users desk to install the updates. I would like to turn it off unless there is an update for a security vulnerability.

Hey Paul,

I may try your suggestion. But just to verify, having that set to Never in the updater settings should be turning off the updater correct? That feature is just not working?

I may just set them all to check every 4 months or so.

If you do wish to completely disable the updater, instead of simply preventing it from running automatically, a better solution may be to entirely prevent it from being installed. You can customize your installation so that it is not present at all, and simply update manually by pushing the new installer when desired. Our Admin manual discusses these options here:
