Feature Request: Add Drawn Signature Request Option for PDF Recipients

Hello PDF-XChange Team,

I would like to submit a feature request for PDF-XChange Editor.

It would be very helpful to have the ability to send a PDF to a recipient and request that they sign it by drawing their signature directly on the document. This could work similarly to a simple e-signature request, where the receiver opens the PDF, draws their signature, and returns the signed file.

From my experience, this type of drawn signature is the most commonly used method for everyday document signing. Full digital certificate signatures are useful in some cases, but many people do not use them often because they are more technical and not as convenient for regular users.

A simple “request signature” feature with a drawn signature option would make PDF-XChange much more practical for users who need basic signatures on forms, approvals, contracts, and other documents.

Thank you for the post, I have split this one out into its own thread, but in the future please do make a new topic for unique requests, instead of replying to an unrelated existing thread.

Now, as for sending for signature request, we do already offer a functionality like this via the Docusign addin. Note that you need a Docusign account to use this, and the buttons are located on the protect tab. In practice, you sue Docusign's own website to prepare and send the document for signature.

Beyond that, in V11 we will be adding a series of helper stamps which, which exclusive to our own software, allows a user to simply click and place a signature graphic, as well as a bundle of other details. Keep an eye out for these when that release comes about.
