Portfolio - How to add file description to a file in the portfolio

How do I add a file description to files in a PDF-Portfolio?
I don't find a menu option that allows me to edit the description field, nor does double-clicking enable editing the field.

Edit: Addition:
I now have added a description to a pdf file (in the document properties) before adding it to the portfolio - the description also doesn't show up in the file overview in the portfolio after I add such a file.

You can also edit the description at any time from the "info" menu:
