wrong kerneling of fonts when printing

Post by urlwolf »

Hi This pdf:

http://www.embnet.org/files/shared/EMBn ... _1-low.pdf

Looks fine on the screen, but when printing the font kerneling is all wrong. Can you check? If so, why? How often can I expect this problem? And is this Xchange's fault, or the pdf's?

Thanks

EDIT: I triead acrobat, and the kerneling in the printout is perfect.
This is worrying. In 1 week or so, I had problems with two pdfs.
If this is normal with Xchange, then I'll always have to have acrobat around! That's bad! How many compatibility problems can I expect to have?

Can you say which build of the viewer do you use ? And which printer?
Best case if you will send report via Help -> Report a Problem, and will include viewer's settings and printer's informations.

In any case, you can set to render text as curves (via Advanced options on Print dialog).

done, thanks.
I checked 'always curves' and it prints beautifully.
A bit slow, though.
