In previous verions prior to version 11.0.1, I was able to modify pdf files with long paths and save my work with no issues. Now, an error is poping up : "Error [System]: Access is denied".
I searched it up and it is due to how the new ve rsion of Xchange editor saved files vs previous versions?
I did not have this problem before!
Even working of pdf files with very long paths, much more than 259 was a breeze!

Are your files synched (mirrored) with Google Drive by any chance?
That might be what is it causing it.
I had to go back to the previous version (10.8.5.410) to clear that issue as that version or the previous ones it did not cause me any troubles.
I think the path length side here might be a red herring. There are known connection issues with Google Drive as a whole at the moment, no relation to path lengths (though the same Google Drive issues should apply to any version of the Editor, as its the communication method we use which has been blocked, not the application or executable).
Do you see the same issue when saving somewhere synced to Google Drive, with a shorter path in V11?

I'm confident there is an issue with any files that have a path longer than 259, probably among other connection issues I did not notice.
Opening or editing any files shorter than that is no problem with v11.
I can open files longer than 259 path in v11, but the minute i add a comment, an error pops up, the file gets renamed automatically to a shorter name and i dont have time to save the edits.
With the previous 10.8 and all the earlier ones, same long name files, same Gdrive location, opening, editing and saving them is a breeze.
Thank you for the clarification and added details. I am just awaiting a reply from the Dev team on how to troubleshoot this one further. I expect we will need some form of logs - though I am unsure which we need for this scenario. Perhaps they could even request a remote session. I will get back to you as soon as I have more information.
